Method Of Moments Help

Hi all,

Just a question i have no idea to do, got an exam next week so was wondering if anyone can take me through the steps?

Hey jackmorgan3.

For the method of moments, we calculate n moments for n parameters being estimated. So for the first moment we equate E[X] with the sample mean x_bar, x_bar is basically the result of summing up all the values of your random sample and dividing by the number of values.

So for the first one, can you calculate for us the expectation of your Beta distribution using the expectation formula?
