minor sets sets problem
Hello guys!

I have decided to study some maths this summer and I have encountered my first problem which I do not understand. It's simple, I know, but I cannot understand the answer.
So we have a venn diagram. M contains:{1,2,4,6,8} and N contains: {6,7,8,9}. They intersect so: {6,8}
The question is to find Mī U Nī. The answer is : {1,2,4,7,9}. Why?

Re: minor sets sets problem
The problem is a little ambiguous, since the whole space (possibilities: all integers, all integers from 1 to 9, M?N) is not defined.

Based on the answer, the whole space appears to be M?N = (1,2,4,6,7,8,9).
Therefore M' = (7,9) and N' = (1,2,4). Take the union to get the answer.
