Math 120 prep?

My degree states I need Math 120 at minimum. Last time I took the class (10 years ago), I failed... They went over mostly graphs. I am thinking it is mostly calculus, but am not for sure. I called administration and they repeated what is in the catalog.

Quote:
Mathematical concepts particularly relevant to informed and aware citizenship in modern society. Topics covered include functions,
graphs, problem solving, topics in finance, geometry, probability and statistics. Satisfies ### core curriculum. Note: Computer use and
graphing calculator may be required (TI-83/84 recommended).
Number Concepts for Elementary School

My main question is how to prepare for this class. My career counselor 10 years ago recommended math 096, which I took and passed with no issue. At the end of last year I finished the book "Practical Algebra" and that book was the same stuff as math 096. So how do I prepare for this class? My best guess is calculus, which I have "How to Ace Calculus: The Streetwise Guide" and "Calculus Made Easy". Help

It doesn't sound like a calculus course. Colleges are required to announce the textbook in advance, so you could look at the book the course will use.

I can find nowhere on the net. But I'm only look at the bookstore from the college site. I will have to wander in and take some photos of this bad boy.

http://www.amazon.com/Basic-College-.../dp/B000RZXGKY says "(University of Nevada, Reno, Math 120)." Is that the book? Is that the school you go to? Unfortunately the website doesn't give an edition number. Wherever you attend, the college should provide an ISBN number and not just a title and author. My mom is in a book club, and one time one of the women didn't like the book, but she had read a different book with the same title.
