Web Dev for Mathematicians


I'm about to enroll in my Computational Mathematics masters course. I have a few months to kill before that so I'm thinking of picking up Web Development. However I'm not sure it will be a useful skill in my career. What do you all think ? Any advice on the matter ?

Math Focus: Number theory, computational mathematics, combinatorics, FOM, symbolic logic, TCS, algorithms
It's pretty useful and rather easy, so go for it.

Any form of programming is very useful and Ruby is a really cool language. Go for it!
