Leading Differential Geometers/Programs?

Hi all,

I want to do a PhD in geometry, probably differential geometry, manifolds, the geometry of space, etc. Perhaps applied to problems tangential to physics.

Who are some of the leading differential geometers out there today? What institutions have a good thing going?

Thanks,
Russ
