Hi to all MMF members and guests! Here is an excellent 20 lecture series on discrete math. http://archive.org/details/arsdigita_02_discrete_math If those links don't work it's all on youtube, i'll post lecture #20 and if you want the others you should be able to find them with minimum effort. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nt7JeGCZL5M Project Mathematics was an awesome program series by Caltech and Tom Apostol. I found 4 episodes on youtube, there are more. If anybody finds any others please post the links!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Un9eAM3yzo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dvg8hIGPxnU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kb_HyCThxE0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aG2CT9fIKss Enjoy! ![]() |

If you are like me , you: a) find modular arithmetic both inherently interesting as a field of study AND highly useful as a tool to study other questions in number theory; b) enjoy doing empirical investigations both for their own sake and for what light they might shed on known problems and what new insights they might offer; and c) have an almost infinite capacity to undermine your own investigations by making screamingly stupid, inattentive calculating errors! If you see yourself in the above, you might enjoy a simple but very, very useful modular calculator I finally thought to google up to help me out of my latest morass! http://ptrow.com/perl/calculator.pl |
