Isomorphism Mapping Question

Find an isomorphism phi : (Z sub12,+) --> (Z* sub13, ). (Idea: phi(1) determines phi, try various phi(1) until one works.)

Re: Isomorphism Mapping Question

That's the idea. You know that phi(1) = 1 won't work, since 1 is in the identity of Z_13 *. So try anything else, and see if it works.
